Welcome to Hickory Road Inn! We invite you to come visit us for a relaxing night or weekend away from
it all in our modern farmhouse-style brick home. We especially welcome crafters for quilting, scrapbooking
and stamping retreats.
We are conveniently located half-way between Cincinnati and Indianapolis. We are located just off State
Route 229, seven miles south of Metamora, Indiana,
a restored 1830's Canal Town, and four miles north of Oldenburg, a quaint German-style village. Located in
southeastern Indiana- in Franklin County - the home of Brookville Lake, Whitewater River canoeing, horseback
riding, and many other outdoor activities - you'll find that at Hickory Road Inn, all seasons have something
for everyone.
Our primary appeal is to those who appreciate the seclusion of the woods as well as the peace and serenity
of country life. There is some hiking and a small pond stocked with fish. Our barn gives a touch of farm
ambiance.
Our home has several lounge areas for conversation or TV (VCR or DVD). There are areas for card and
table games.
Each morning we serve a full breakfast of assorted juices, fruit, egg entrée, meat side dish,
hot beverages, and warm bread. Our breakfasts offer guests surprising new recipes.
A few things to do while staying at the inn include:
- try hiking-take our "Trivia Facts" trail in our woods
- use the paddle boat on the pond
- play our corn hole lawn game or shoot basketball
- build a bonfire
- put a puzzle together
- watch videos in one of our three sitting rooms
- play board games or cards
- just enjoy the peace and tranquility of the woods on our porch swings or in the gazebo
